DC Switch Disconnectors

The IEC 60364-7-712 standard requires the use of a switch-disconnector between the photovoltaic array and the inverter. Eaton provides enclosed and open switch-disconnectors for voltages up to 1000 V DC. They can be used to establish separate switching points as required by the standard VDI 6012, allowing for a defective inverter, for example, to be safely disconnected. All switch-disconnectors switch on two poles and are suitable for unearthed systems. All switches are certifi ed by the TÜV.
